I am looking for a project article that appeared in either Elementary Electronics or Electronics Illustrated or one of their annual project issues.
Late 60's to mid 70's time frame. It was an RF preselector using an NE703. This is purely a nostalgia undertaking and project. I built this when I was a lad and would like to do so again. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

There seems to be no NE 703,you are probably thinking of
the Fairchild uA703,also made by National LM703.
May still be available as NTE703.
I don't know of any rf uses of these but saw lots of them in
early solid state FM receiver IF/limiter strips.

I'm not sure if this is what you are referring to, but I have this one:

Sorry if these scans are not the best, but I scanned it quickly.

Actually the units I have are NJS 703's made my New Jersey Semiconductor in the late 60's. They were the developer of the chip. There were NE's, Ua's, and LM's. NTE does sub it but it is hard to get.
The circuit shown is interesting but not the one I was looking for. Thanks anyway for your trouble.
