I am getting ready to build an impedance matching transformer using the Bogen T725. I plan on building the "uni-match" which can be found here:

http://www.crystalradio.net/soundpowere ... ndex.shtml

However, there is something in the schematic that I don't understand. At the bottom of the schematic it shows a connection that appears to go to the laminate core of the Bogen. Is that actually a connection to the frame of the Bogen? Could it be a misprint? I ran a continuity tester all over the frame of my Bogen and it appears to be totally non-conductive. It is covered with a varnish like substance which I made a small effort to scratch through, but still couldn't get an electrical flow. On that page, all of the Bogen diagrams show that connection. Can anyone tell me what it represents?

The are using the mounting ears to ground the case and core to minimize hum . Clean the varnish off the screw holes on the mounting ears is all you need to do.
