Here's another one tube transmitter project I've been working on. In this picture, the parts are just sitting on the board and not in the final places, like the RFC's. I'm not sure how I'll end up positioning those yet. I have all the parts, just need to sit and melt some solder!

Hi Bill,

Good to see another tube rig come to life! Is that a 6L6 in the picture? On what band(s) will it operate?

Thanks K, hi Roger. Yes, that's a 6L6G tube, but it will also work with a 6V6 and with plug in coils, it supposed to work on 40 and 80m. I found that circuit in the October 2009 CQ magazine, but I changed a few things to suit my building style.

I've got another tube project in the works too. I've collected the parts to build an Ameco AC-1 6V6 transmitter. Well, all the parts except the chassis. I bought a nice new Bud chassis and found out that it wasn't tall enough for my variable caps when they open up. Real AC-1's have a cult like status now days and sell for big bucks, if you can find one. I couldn't, so I figured that I'd just build my own!
