Dave, The board is so fast, I can't click on anything and go get my coffee, or go to the outhouse.

GREAT JOB :!:

I also like the 'look' /additions.

With the new host, be prepared for an influx of members!

Gus

Edit.........I just traced the url, and again 18 hops, but in 1 or 2 seconds. The other day, same amount of hops, but it took over a MINUTE! Did you go to a "clear channel!"

Ouch! I'm on dialup and I don't think I've ever seen a forum work so quickly.

Good choice and good execution, Dave.

Yep, there are no more bathroom breaks at theradioboard.com. All I
have to do is put up the new "skins". This allows the member to have a
different look to the board. If anyone has a favorite that they used
before, I'll put it up again.

The new web host is http://ixwebhosting.com. I will eventually be hosting
all 4 of my domain names with room for another 4. My old host really
wasn't paying attention to things and keeping on top of them. All web
hosts get "denial of service attacks", but it is how they are handled is
what makes the difference. Is your site down for two hours or two
days?

The RadioBoard has it's own dedicated IP number address. This means
that if someone sets up a bad site on the server, I am not affected.
Last month when some of you were without this forum for 4 days is
because the IP was blackholed by a backbone provider. That affected
me because I was on the same IP. I now have my very own IP that
is mine as long as my host remains the same.

I thought some of you might want some background information
on all this. Let's hope that the service levels remain this high. I
am confident.

Again, my thanks to Darryl Boyd for the recommendation and other
information I received during our very pleasant phone conversation
a couple of nights ago.

cu
Dave

With this new dual core AMD processor computer and a cable connection, this board is so fast the pages change if I just think about clicking on something...

Errie....

Wow! Finally a radio related forum that is quicker than greased lightning! Too bad the ARF can't be this quick. I am sure the forum will grow considerably mainly because it is so fast and people don't get bored sitting around waiting for something to happen.

Good going Dave!
Curt

Only problem is I posted this at 0930 Pacific Daylight time and it should be at the bottom of the postings. Somehow it shows up at 0232 hours, when I was sawing logs. Must be a glitch with the clock.

Yo Barney O

The elusive button is located on my e-mail page at the radios
website at the bottom of the page.

http://www.schmarder.com/radios/contact.htm

The button has been tested so I know it works as it should. :)

Thanks muchly!
Dave
