I've been trying different transformers in my SP matching module, and found that 3 transformers from three manufacturers are carrying the designation "TF 1A 10YY". All have slightly different hi-Z sides and lo-Z sides, but perform just about the same. Is the TF 1A label a generic label for this type of transformer? I'm curious if it it could be used when no other specs are printed on the cans. The three brands here are Stanley, Berkshire and CSTC. Size and shape wise, they rang from "ouncer" to "Stanley"

Mike,

It would appear that the "code designation" is a MIL SPEC, so all three manufacturers products would be comparable.
