I just finshed a Pi ant tuner. No particular design . Built with what I had on hand to do what i needed. It has a 1000pf variable in, 1000pf out and a 2 3/4" copper tubing coil with 14 turns tapped at every turn and ends avaiable as well . I had a vintage 16 position HD switch someone gave me in a bunch of 1920s radio parts. It worked out nicely.I also made provision for series C on the switches bottom postion. I have yet to install that cap but will assoon as it arrives. Tuning is assisited by use f a standard Gimick capon the output centre conductor going from the output cap too the coax connector. It consists of about 1 inch of hook up wire wound long wise around the output wire and connected to a plug in front. using a cheapie voltmeter test wire I plug it in the tuner plug andplug that into my Radio shack SWR Field strength meter. using the pot on that meter i can keep the needle centred regardless of power and tune for best output. I can tune all te way back to the TX , my PA and the antenna tuner this way.I like it . Very much
